Concept

Riviera Display Font is a homage to the cultural spirit of the French Riviera. It draws inspiration from the region’s music, art, and effortless lifestyle.

Each letter carries its own distinct character, telling a different story. Some shapes echo musical notes or artistic gestures, while others reference architecture and design. A central influence has been Pablo Picasso and his approach to abstract, expressive forms.

The typeface originated from a handwritten style, which I then refined by filling and cutting out shapes to create a sense of irregularity and playfulness.

Designed for display use, it includes capital letters A–Z.
